Our Prenatal Yoga training will teach you how to use yoga to deepen the connection between mother and baby and how to use yogic tools to ease stress and strains connected to pregnancy. Restorative Yoga | 20 hours
Restorative Yoga is a yoga practice where there is no effort at all. In Restorative Yoga there is not sensation, there is only rest. Like Yin, Restorative Yoga uses only a handful of asanas. Unlike Yin, a Restorative practice asks that the practitioner be 100% comfortable.

Our 40 Hour Restorative Yoga training will cover the Restorative asanas and how best to utilize them with students recovering from trauma. This training will prepare you to feel confident creating dynamic sequences for active students seeking rest, students looking to relieve and manage stress, and students who are recovering from either surgical or emotional trauma.

  • Learn to teach a Restorative practice with or without props.
  • Learn to incorporate sound and oils into the practice while still being sensitive to trauma.
  • Understand the Restorative asanas and how to create dynamic and effective sequences.
  • Understand common rehabilitation practices as well as common injury applications.

Whether you are a medical professional, therapist, or yoga teacher working with populations who are recovering from trauma, seeking stress management and alleviation, or individuals looking to relax, this Restorative Yoga training will leave you feeling skilled, confident, and ready to lead both groups and individuals in a Restorative Yoga practice.

Yin Yoga | 20 hours
Yin Yoga is a practice where poses are held statically for longer periods of time. The goal of a Yin practice is to release fascia, work beyond the muscle, and strengthen the connective tissues. Yin Yoga uses only a handful of poses and our training will ensure that you understand the benefit of these poses and how they relate to the meridians as well as feel confident creating dynamic sequences that benefit your students using the few Yin postures.

Teaching Yin Yoga is an excellent skill to add to your yoga teaching toolkit. It is a wonderful complement to Yang styles of yoga like Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa yoga.

  • Learn the history, philosophy, and purpose of Yin Yoga.
  • Learn how to write and theme Yin Yoga sequences to promote health and well-being.
  • Understand the relationship between Yin Yoga and the meridians.
  • Learn to leverage Yin Yoga practices in Trauma Informed Settings.

Our 20 Hour Yin Yoga training will help students to understand the relationship between Yin and Yang and how these philosophies are applied to the tissues of the body. Over the course of the training, students will have a deeper understanding of the meridians and how to sequence for them and a deeper understanding of proper practice and precautions, including propping and sequencing.

Whether you are new to Yin Yoga or a skilled practitioner, this training will leave you feeling skilled, confident, and ready to teach both private clients and group classes.

Yoga of Recovery | 40 hours
In our Yoga of Recovery training you will learn the principles of addiction and how to work with individuals in recovery. Throughout this three-day training, you will be exposed to the reasons why addiction takes hold and how to identify the underlying cause from an energetic and spiritual perspective. Participants will then learn tools to help work with populations in recovery while providing compassionate support throughout treatment.
In the training you will learn:
  • The principles of addiction
  • The masks of separation
  • How to apply the foundations of Yoga in recovery settings
  • How to meet, welcome, and connect to the parts of the experience that are less desirable to avoid reoccurrence
  • How to build relationships with clinical professionals to work collaboratively in rehabilitation settings

The yoga therapy components of our course(s) are based on IAYT standards, and are not derived from our status as an RYS® with Yoga Alliance Registry. This module does not satisfy the requirements to become a Yoga Therapist. Individuals interested in becoming a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist will need to complete additional training.

Subtle Bodies | 40 hours

To understand the subtle bodies means to understand the energetic sheaths and energetic pathways within the physical form that manifest in our physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

Our 40 Hour Subtle Bodies training will help you to deepen your understanding of the Panchamaya Kosha system and will bring a deeper understanding of energetic mechanisms from both an Eastern and Western perspective.

Obtain a deeper understanding of the energetic mechanisms within the body from an Eastern and a Western perspective

Have a comprehensive understanding of the Panchamaya Kosha system

Understand how the Nadi system and meridians overlay one another

More Than A 300-Hour YTT

Our program is more than a 300-hour yoga certification. We leverage multiple styles of pedagogy to help students integrate the ancient wisdom teachings that are covered in training off the mat so they can teach authentically. All of our teachers have decades of experience in personal practice and teach through the lens of application. Students have the opportunity to come to daily office hours hosted throughout the week where they can ask Lead Trainers questions, or work on asana alignment.

The online library of content is unparalleled. My Vinyasa Practice offers optional LIVE weekend lectures on a range of supplementary topics including accessible yoga, trauma-informed yoga, yoga for all bodies, diversity, and inclusion in the yoga industry, starting a yoga business, and so much more. Each weekend lecture is different, and they are all recorded so that students who can’t join in person can participate on their own time.

Our 300-hour yoga teacher training boasts more hours than is required by Yoga Alliance and serves as Module 1 of our IAYT Yoga Therapy program. For those interested in becoming certified yoga therapists, this program is an excellent entry into the world of therapeutic yoga. Our trainers have thousands of hours working with students and clients one-on-one which makes our mentorship program unique; it gives you the academic information needed, the application required, and the experience necessary to truly be an advanced yoga teacher.
