Community yoga events help to invite relationships and personal development. We believe in fostering personal connection and community throughout our studio, both in-person and online. That’s why we’ve put so much into creating community yoga events that are designed to help you connect with your teachers and other yogis all over the world.
We are currently offering interactive Live Stream workshops and events as well as Community Yoga Events at our Austin studio. Check out the listings below to find our next offering and register. Â All times listed are in U.S. Central Time.
Nischala Joy Devi workshop

This workshop will focus and parallel the content found in Nischala’s book The Secret Power of Yoga as a lecture based series of content explored through discussions, meditation, and collaboration with students in Q&A.Â

90-minute sound bath

This 90 minute workshop is designed to help balance your energy. Practitioners will begin by learning about the gunas, the three energetic forces of the universe, and how to move from a heightened state of energy back to one of balance.
You will then put your knowledge to action through a guided asana and pranayama practice, with a soothing savasana.
Your evening will conclude with a balancing mantra practice, with time for journaling and an optional share.
Full Moon Restorative Yoga

Julia Stempko
Julia has been practicing Yoga and Meditation for over a decade and has been a student of Eastern spirituality and philosophy for almost 20 years. After completing her 200hr YTT, she went on to complete her advanced 300hr training through My Vinyasa Practice and continues to enjoy the ongoing learning opportunities MVP provides.
Julia specializes in teaching alignment-based asana, meditation, manifestation, holistic well-being, and philosophy, all of which show up in her projection-free, uplifting classes.
Join Julia for a holistic, Full Moon Yoga class.
This 90-minute class will be one part ritual, one part guided relaxation.
Experience a full moon tarot spread, guided breath work, freeing the joints, and then taking time to journal on releasing what no longer serves you. The session will conclude with deep rest and integration.
Bring your journal and enjoy time to reflect on your experience, as well as any props you know help you feel supported. A Yoga mat or beach towel, blankets, pillows, bolsters, and blocks are highly encouraged but not necessary for class.

Ana Pilar Cruz
Ana Pilar Cruz, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, RYT 200, has been teaching yoga in Austin, Texas since 2001 and has been training yoga teachers since 2006 at both 200 and 500-hour levels in the United States and abroad with Yoga Yoga, Global Yoga Shala, and Zingara Yoga. She has been studying with her teacher, Gary Kraftsow, the founder & head of the American Viniyoga Institute, for over 16 years. Under the guidance of Kraftsow, Ana Pilar completed the American Viniyoga Institute’s 500-hour advanced training in 2005.
Her continuing education is immersed in a number of specialized areas, including Western & Yogic Anatomy, Injury Prevention, Stress-relief, Mantra chanting, and Tantric philosophy, as she studies with the likes of Leslie Kaminoff, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Donna Farhi, Rod Stryker, and Dr. Douglas Brooks. In 2017 Ana Pilar was grandfathered into the International Association of Yoga Therapists, receiving her C-IAYT designation in recognition of her specialized client work in adaptive structural therapeutics. As a senior teacher trainer, she excels in teaching asana, pranayama, mantra, and yogic philosophy & literature.Â

Yoga Therapy for Tranquility

Lara Ramey
Lara has been a student of Yoga since 2009, and overtime has continued to appreciate and have a passion for the more contemplative aspects of the practice. She received her 200 hour certification in 2017 from Journey Om Yoga, completed her 300 hour certification in 2020 through My Vinyasa Practice (MVP), and is nearing the completion of MVP’s Yoga Therapy program.
Lara has taught group classes at studios, colleges, fitness centers and social clubs, and has co-led events for city recreation departments. She sees clients on a private and semi-private basis as a way of guiding individuals towards integrating Yoga into their daily lives. Lara is also a Level 2 Usui Reiki practitioner and enjoys blending energy work into her work with Yoga.
You can expect a variety of Yogic practices within Lara’s classes including gentle to moderate movement, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and philosophical inquiry. Most importantly, Lara welcomes ALL to practice with her, allowing for adaptability and the freedom to meet each student where they are.
When Lara isn’t teaching or working, she’s connecting with loved ones, reading, and exploring Austin with her partner and new puppy.

Join retreat expert and MVP alum Tara Reyna as she guides participants through activities and lectures designed to help encourage confidence and to teach business acumen for planning, executing, and leading retreats.
Participants have the opportunity to meet on ZOOM once a week in addition to following along with the recorded content, templates, and activities.
Participants are encouraged to attend live but the sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend.

Kundalini Yoga at MVP is an all-level class, with no previous experience needed to attend. Kundalini Yoga is an uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices. It is a mixture of Bhakti Yoga (spiritual devotion and chanting), Raja Yoga (meditation), and Shakti Yoga (the expression of power and energy). Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, mantras, mudras, and meditation. This practice builds physical vitality, encourages using intuition, and increases consciousness. It stands on Patanjali’s kriya yoga pillars, consisting of self-discipline, self-study, and dedication to a Higher Power.

Satsanga refers to a community gathering of people who are sharing the same or similar spiritual belief systems and is a container that allows for connection with community members while sharing and nourishing each other’s own growth and journey. Our weekly Satsanga will open with a short Dharma talk, followed by movement, meditation, chanting, and a Q&A whenever applicable. This is a free event.
