Charley Heylen is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), E-RYT 500, Reiki Practitioner, Massage Therapist, and Nervous System School trained coach. She offers online yoga therapy sessions through My Vinyasa Practice, and supports clients who seek nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and a deeper connection to their bodies.
Through her work, Charley centers the belief that the body holds lived experience. As a result, healing can unfold when individuals learn to listen to internal signals with safety and compassion. Her approach remains client centered, trauma aware, and intentionally paced to meet each person where they are.
A Nervous System Focused Yoga Therapy Approach
Charley brings her background in massage therapy into her yoga therapy work, where she has observed how stress, emotional overwhelm, and unprocessed experiences often present as physical discomfort. Because of this, she centers nervous system regulation as the foundation for sustainable healing.
In her sessions, Charley supports clients navigating anxiety, burnout, emotional dysregulation, and chronic stress. She offers practical tools that foster awareness, resilience, and self trust. Additionally, her work emphasizes choice, consent, and attunement rather than performance or outcome-driven practice.
What to Expect in Sessions
During yoga therapy sessions, Charley integrates gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness practices, and guided self inquiry. Each session responds to the client’s needs and allows space for curiosity, self compassion, and reflection.
As sessions progress, clients explore their experience at their own pace while developing practical tools they can use beyond the session. At the same time, Charley cultivates a calm, grounded environment that helps clients feel supported, seen, and empowered to reconnect with their bodies.
Working with Charley
Inspired by her own healing journey, Charley remains deeply committed to supporting others through yoga therapy, Reiki, and healing touch. She approaches her work intuitively and tailors each session to align with individual needs and goals.
Outside of her therapeutic work, Charley spends time in nature and with animals. In turn, these experiences reflect the grounding and regulation based principles she brings into her sessions.
