What To Expect

My Vinyasa Practice is excited to host our Yoga Retreat in Greece May 2022. While staying seaside thirty minutes outside of Athens, you’ll experience a reprieve from the constant doing to which we’ve grown accustom. You’ll have the opportunity to unplug and immerse yourself in your practice. Each day you’ll have an opportunity to connect to the eight limbs of Patanjalian Yoga through the lens of the Panchamaya Kosha System.

Our yoga retreat in Greece is much more than a vacation, it’s a retreat back to yourself to reset and recharge. Expect learning opportunities to better understand the body, biomechanics, the breath, mind-body connection, and the psychology of yoga. Apply these new learnings to your own personal practice or to your practice of teaching and ultimately gain inspiration from your peers and colleagues along the way. Below are some key points and considerations to take into account. Once you’ve decided that this is the trip for you the next step is to register at the bottom of the page. Once we receive your registration you’ll receive a participant questionnaire and follow up instructions walking you through the process leading to retreat. If you have specific questions that we don’t cover below you can email [email protected].

Transportation

Airfare is not included in the overall retreat cost and attendees are responsible for their own airfare, scheduling, and baggage. The Seafront Hillside Villa is an estimated thirty (30) minute drive from the Athens International Airport, and participants will have the option to be pict up from the airport at designated times on the first day of the retreat.

*Please do not book your flight until you have received confirmation to do so.

Location/Lodging

MVP will stay in the beautiful Seafront Hillside Villa with amenities such as an open and spacious living area, brick fireplace, a large kitchen, cathedral ceilings, a stone deck overlooking the Aegean Sea, bedroom patios, private pool, multi level terraces, tennis courts, and panoramic views of the sea and village.

Most rooms are SHARED ROOMS and will require attendees to room share, unless purchasing a PRIVATE ROOM. Please be aware private rooms are extremely limited. If you would like to book a private room, please do so early as they may sell out quickly. We ask after registering to fill out a roommate questionnaire in order to help better accommodate any requests.

If you are coming with a friend and would like to room together, please make sure to note this on your Participant Questionnaire you receive after completing registration.

Meals

Participants of MVP’s Yoga Retreat Greece 2022 will enjoy three meals a day provided by MVP staff. Although group meals are included on-site, participants should expect to pay for one (1) to two (2) meals off-site during their stay. MVP will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, but we cannot guarantee this. If you have concerns about dietary requirements, please reach out to us at [email protected].

COVID Protocol

All participants will need to refer to Athens International Airport’s COVID19 Protocol* for the most updated requirements for flying into Greece.

MVP will follow all local guidelines regarding masks when in public places, and participants are expected to adhere to these guidelines during their stay. Social distancing will be enforced whenever possible, and hand sanitizer will be readily available.

*Please keep in mind these requirements may change between now and May 2022. MVP’s Yoga Retreat Greece 2022 is scheduled and confirmed to take place as of December 20, 2022. Should travel be prohibited to the region due to COVID, participants would have the option of rolling their paid spot forward to a reschedule date or they could request a refund minus deposit. This provision is for travel restriction by either Europe, Greece, or US authorities due to COVID.
