Understand Functional Nutrition
The foundation for any nutrition certification must be functional nutrition. In our Ayurvedic Nutritionist Certification, we teach the foundations first. Trainees will understand the chemical reactions that take place when we eat and digest food as well as how the body assimilates food for cellular respiration. Trainees will thoroughly understand how nutrition supports wellness and homeostasis in the body.
Once certified, our Ayurvedic Nutritionist will understand how to assess clients, set goals based on the client’s needs, create functional meal plans, and implement a nutrition strategy. This training includes foundational principles covered in eating recovery and mindful eating.
Learn The Ancient Wisdom Of Ayurveda
Learn the foundational principles of Ayurveda including how the five elements combine to create our dosha or elemental constitution. Find out how to discern when a client is in balance or out of balance based on their doshic characteristics and digestion. Trainees will understand how to help clients move towards states of balance using food combining, daily Ayurvedic practices, yoga, and meditation.
Trainees will learn how to use the guna, the three causal forces that impact our Prakriti (birth constitution), as a diagnostic tool. Once graduated, Ayurvedic nutritionists will have the understanding and capacity to integrate the concepts found within Ayurveda with functional nutrition to help clients find a balance between the two.
Balance The Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, And Spiritual
Our Ayurvedic Nutritionists learn how to balance the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual through lifestyle changes that lead to an overall sense of health and wellbeing. Trainees will create integrative plans for clients that allow them to meet the needs of each of their energetic bodies.
Ayurvedic Nutritionists use educational tools, charts, intakes, and reading materials to help empower their clients. They coach their clients on addressing imbalances in the physical, intellectual, and emotional bodies through energetic practices, mantra, mudra, and elemental intervention.
Facilitate Client Success
Ayurvedic Nutritionists help clients succeed by teaching, coaching, and facilitating change. Graduates of our program receive extensive counseling and internship opportunities to get real-life experience working with the techniques they learn. Trainees are encouraged to meet with Michelle one-on-one to solidify concepts or ask questions at any point during training, and all students are offered job placement and client referral opportunities.
Our Ayurvedic Nutritionist Certification is the only program of its kind. My Vinyasa Practice is the only school to offer job placement, career counseling, and business development coaching at no additional charge.
