Become A Certified Breath Work Facilitator

Deepen your practice and become certified to teach breath work in our Pranayama Certification. Pranayama is ancient breathwork found within Yoga that helps practitioners to self-soothe, access higher states of consciousness, achieve meditative states, and heal trauma. In this course, Michelle teaches the chemical mechanisms that occur when we breathe and how these mechanisms impact our peripheral nervous system’s ability to regulate. Students will learn how to facilitate breath work practices that address common student concerns like anxiety and depression. Students will then learn how to use breathwork to retrain and tone the sympathetic nervous system as well as what contraindications they should be aware of and how to navigate adverse reactions.

Our trainings are written by Michelle Young, a certified Yoga Therapist specializing in eating recovery, behavioral health, and cardiac rehabilitation. Michelle holds a M.Ed. in Education and Curriculum Development and has over 35 years of meditation experience and 20 years of experience practicing and teaching yoga.

Receive personalized attention, daily opportunities to interact with students and faculty, and one on one yoga therapy, coaching, yoga instruction, and business development counseling FREE. Join us on our app on iOS or Android, Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Google TV, and practice with your favorite teachers every day.

Calm The Mental Fluctuations

The human experience is an opportunity to use our relationships with our experiences and others to awaken into our natural state of Enlightenment, but most humans come to practice with swimming thoughts and a lack of clarity. Sometimes trauma causes us to disconnect from our breath which keeps us in a trauma loop and makes it difficult to feel embodied. Pranayama is the breathwork practice that accompanies yoga and that we use to help calm the mental fluctuations of the mind.

This training teaches trainees to facilitate breath awareness in order to reconnect students to their functional breath. Trainees will learn how to assess, plan, evaluate, and facilitate change through various breathwork practices that lead students to a sense of wholeness.

Invite Mental Clarity

Once we learn how to regulate the mind through breath awareness we can begin to expand our capacity for awareness and self-compassion. This occurs when we make space for clarity physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

Trainees will learn how to build lessons that guide trainees toward mental clarity slowly so that the student can maintain a practice with a steady consciousness. Steady, consistent practice produces a state of mental clarity that allows students to access a wellspring of compassion.

Release Attachments

Breathwork practices help us to release attachments and let go of things that no longer serve our highest good. Trainees will learn how to teach practitioners to use their practice to release emotional and intellectual tension in the body as well as physical holding in the body.

Trainees will be exposed to the contraindications that may be considered when working with individuals who have lived through traumatic events, and they will learn to hold space for students of all levels who are seeking integration and an energetic release.

Access A Felt Senese Of Wellbeing

Facilitators are taught to use pranayama and breathwork practices to facilitate a felt sense of wellbeing. Students are taught how to use this felt sense in their body as an anchor that helps them to ground and recalibrate.

Students will learn how to use their breath to cultivate an inner resource that can sustain them in times of stress and distress. Trainees will learn how to reinforce learnings with cues, adjustments, and homework assignments.

The online library of content is unparalleled. My Vinyasa Practice offers optional LIVE weekend lectures on a range of supplementary topics including accessible yoga, trauma-informed yoga, yoga for all bodies, diversity and inclusion in the yoga industry, starting a yoga business, and so much more. Each weekend lecture is different, and they are all recorded so that students who can’t join in person can participate on their own time. With over 3,000 hours of pre-recorded content in our video library, and new content being delivered in real-time each weekend we are the leader in online yoga and mindfulness content delivery.

We are committed to being the absolute best online yoga teacher training provider internally because we are the best at facilitating yoga teacher training and yoga therapy training in person. We believe that moving education online is an opportunity to provide absurdly high-quality content at a fraction of the cost of in-person yoga certification. In doing this we are uplifting the collective consciousness.

More Than A Certification

Our online yoga and mindfulness certifications provide teachers with more than credentials to teach; they provide teachers with a breadth of understanding and unparalleled depth of practice. Teachers graduating from our programs are supported with live chat, phone, and email support seven days a week, and we are the only online yoga school providing job placement anywhere in the world.
