My Vinyasa Practice is structured around a built-in mentorship amongst yoga teachers, lead yoga teachers, and directors. It is our belief that, as yoga teachers, we are constantly deepening our practice and there is always a chance to learn and grow. With that, My Vinyasa Practice is organized in a way that allows for teachers to learn from one another and work together as both mentors and peers.
Company Mission Statement:
My Vinyasa Practice is a values-based Company founded on the principles of authenticity, accessibility, and affordability. We strive to bridge the gap between aspirational yoga and yoga for the people. We believe that all beings are born into a sentient enlightened state of awareness, and that the projections of the world cause us to forget our truth. We believe that through yoga, meditation, and the practice of mindfulness, practitioners can awaken into their natural state of being and live healthy interdependent lives in community. Our offerings reflect our values; each program, class offering, or one-on-one session comes from a place of authentic accessibility and is designed to reach the masses in an effort to uplift the collective consciousness. My Vinyasa Practice offers scholarships and community outreach programs that are designed to impact communities who may not have access to yoga and mindfulness practices.
Authenticity, accessibility, affordability.
Background Information of the Company:
My Vinyasa Practice, a female-owned company, started online yoga teacher training in 2016. The Company celebrates accessibility and affordability while remaining authentic. As the Company has grown, it has begun to include more diversity and inclusion (e.g., all bodies, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, etc.) in staffing and trainings. The Company values keep it in alignment with its historical growth.
My Vinyasa Practice’s Company culture goes back to its values with an emphasis on being student-focused. We do not project our own perspectives. Instead, we put it back to the application of our values. MVP says it is not about us; it is about our students. We do this by sharing content and supporting growth to give our students meaningful ways to apply what they learn in training.
Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:
My Vinyasa Practice has a strong commitment to respect and value every team member’s contribution to the workplace. We recognize the strength of bringing people together with an array of talents, experiences and perspectives. Our commitment to diversity also means that discrimination will not be tolerated anywhere, in any form, within the Company.
It is the policy of My Vinyasa Practice to provide equal employment opportunity to all applicants without regard to unlawful considerations of or discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender-identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, military service, pregnancy or any other classification prohibited by applicable local, state, or federal laws. This policy includes, but is not limited to, opportunities related to recruitment, hiring, training, transfer and promotion, schedules and job assignments, compensation, benefits, discipline, termination and all other forms and conditions of employment with the Company. My Vinyasa Practice strictly prohibits any such discrimination or harassment.
