What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a form of whole person care that focuses on the individual’s mental, emotional, physical, and environmental health. It is an ancient therapeutic modality that incorporates a broad range of tools and techniques such as yoga asana, breathwork, mantra, meditation, and more. Yoga Therapy aims to address the root cause of imbalance and disorder in order to restore total health and wellness. Yoga Therapists are trained to provide individualized care and personalized health plans.

Step 1: Schedule Your Intake Session

During your consultation, we can help you schedule your first yoga therapy session. Here, your Yoga Therapist will ask you about your health history, present issues, and future goals. They will provide a detailed assessment of your current state of health and recommendations to move towards balance.

Step 2: Work Your Plan

After your intake session, you will receive a 4-6 week integrative wellness plan with recommendations, practices, and treatments to support your goals. Your Yoga Therapist will provide ongoing support as you work your plan.

Step 3: Follow Up with Your Yoga Therapist

Schedule a follow-up with your Yoga Therapist within 4-6 weeks of your initial intake. We are here to support you throughout your health journey and can adapt your plan any time.

We recommend that new clients commit to a total of 4 sessions within the first four months of working with their Yoga Therapist. We offer a new client package to help you kickstart your journey.

What Our Clients Say

After online yoga therapy with MVP, I felt more deeply connected to me again. Yoga therapy has brought me to a point where I can slow down and just sit with what is. It has created an awareness of the fact that life is fragile and it is not permanent, making it easier for me to make choices that are authentic to the essence of who I am.

Louise

[My Yoga Therapist] was here during my lows (many of them), and my highs are because of her. She never judges me and always sees the positive in me and the things I do (especially when I don’t see it). She’s my lighthouse when I’m drifting away, bringing me back home. I’m better because of her, her suggestions, her support, and kindness.

Sarah K

Yoga therapy with [Yoga Therapist] has provided me with new insight to myself and my experience. Using the practices and philosophies of yoga, I am releasing the past, finding healing, and learning to live in contentment as my true authentic self. [My Yoga Therapist] is knowledgeable, kind, and is able to hold space in a way that is individualized to my needs and unique lived experience.

Ayurveda

Explore the Sister Science to Yoga

What is Ayurveda?

If you’re ready to make intentional changes to your nutrition, lifestyle, and daily routines to restore health and happiness, Ayurveda is the right path for you. Ayurveda, the “Science of Life,” is the world’s oldest medical system. What makes this tradition so unique and effective is its holistic, preventative, and personalized approach to healthcare.

Starting Your Ayurvedic Journey

Our Ayurvedic Practitioners are trained to identify the root causes of imbalances and support you in preventing disease, restoring vitality, and managing common conditions with natural approaches—including herbal medicines, rejuvenative therapies, and mindfulness practices. Through a detailed assessment of your unique constitution (prakṛti) and current imbalances (vikṛti), you will be provided with personalized guidance in nutrition, lifestyle, daily and seasonal routines, and natural therapies to support your overall well-being. Together, we will create a plan that aligns your body, mind, and spirit so you can feel grounded, nourished, and resilient.

It is important to note Ayurveda can help support and improve your health; however, I am not a medical doctor, and the guidance provided through Ayurveda is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
