- Restorative – Restorative yoga takes a gentle and easy approach to yoga. You have poses you hold for long periods but they are not physically demanding. This allows your mind and body to slip into relaxation.
1. Bedtime Yin with Ginger
The first easy yoga video we have for you is a bedtime flow. This is a yin practice focused on relaxation. The routine is perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Ginger is a certified yoga instructor. In this video, she leads you through a series of gentle stretches that are perfect for winding down before bed.
This routine is 30 minutes long and includes just seated poses which is great for winding down after a long day. Doing yoga before bedtime can be very calming and this practice is no different. It harnesses the stress from the day and helps it melt away in this practice.
Ginger also recommends wearing comfy clothes, like socks and a sweater to get in the zone for this yin practice.
2. Being with Sensation with Michelle
Another yin practice focused on relaxation is great for beginners. This practice is a bit shorter at just over 20 minutes.
The point of this practice is to sink into sensation and focus on how it feels in the body to move in different ways. This is an important part of yoga, especially for beginners. Oftentimes the poses are what people think is most challenging, however, in yin practices sometimes the mental challenge of holding a specific pose outweighs the physical challenge of holding a pose.
Michelle guides you through a series of gentle yoga poses that are perfect for unwinding and finding sensation. This routine includes seated poses mainly allowing you to get rooted into the ground.
Finding sensation and feeling the ground beneath you in any given pose is an understated part of this practice. Grounding down through your body can be pivotal in getting in touch with your most relaxed self.

3. Subtle Bodies Yin
In this video, Angela walks you through another relaxing yin practice. This practice is a slow-paced long yin practice to focus on your body and get in tune with how it feels.

- Spiritual or bliss body
This practice calls on your subtle bodies and wants you to move in harmony with all these types of bodies. You are reminded throughout the practice to call on all your subtle bodies and tap into them during this practice.
For this practice, it is also recommended that you wear loose-fitting clothing. This will help you stay centered and focused throughout the practice. You do not want to be distracted by pulling or tugging at your clothes to fit a certain way. Leave all of this behind and opt for loose-fitting clothes instead.
4. Restorative Yoga for Anxiety
Our first few suggestions were yin practices and in a similar vein this is a restorative practice. This practice is easygoing and allows you to drop in and restore your mind and muscles.
Since this practice is similar to yin, you will be holding poses for some time, but because this is restorative the poses are not physically challenging but mentally challenging.
This practice is different from the other practices in that it needs props. The following is a list of props suggested for this video:
- Two yoga blocks
- A yoga bolster
- Two yoga blankets
If you don’t own these props, don’t worry! You can still complete the video with some modifications. And that is the great thing about yoga, there are always modifications and adjustments you can make to fit where you are at in your skill level for any practice.
5. Grounding Flow with Michelle
In this flow Michelle asks you to drop out of your thinking mind and sink into the sensational body. You are guided to feel the breath in the body and move with intention.
This yoga class is a perfect way to start your day or use it as an afternoon break. The yoga practice is only 25 minutes, but it will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.
This practice is one of the only practices on our list that includes standing exercises. You will move through different flows as this is a vinyasa practice. This allows you to focus on the movements you are making rather than the shape of the pose.
