There are so many options when it comes to free yoga classes in Austin, Texas. With the changes that we have seen due to the pandemic, there has been a parallel blossoming of YouTube yoga and many online studios. Some established studios have taken their live content and converted their presence to be online. Other newer studios have taken advantage of the need for connection in times of separation. The quality of online yoga classes has gone up so much so that even post pandemic online yoga is still going strong.  The choices have multiplied and there is a little of something for everyone.  Chances are, if you looked up your favorite studio using a search engine, you’d find they offer pre-recorded classes to their members or to the public. Some studios even began offering outdoor yoga in person. But, not everyone has the financial ability to pay for yoga though everyone deserves yoga, regardless of circumstance. Also, there are only so many Youtube Yoga videos one can take.
A lot of yoga studios will offer free trials, getting you into their studio or online space to get you interested in what they offer and hopefully convince you to come back. Typically, these free options come to an end after a specified amount of time OR a specified amount of classes. So, what happens when you run out of free class options and you’re not ready to take it to membership level? We hope to help you with just that. Yoga is, after all, for everybody.
There are a few things to look for when you are searching for free yoga classes.
Variety of teachers
Variety of classes including accessible offerings
Freshness of content – how often do they update their content?
Not all studios are the same and it is guaranteed that your experience at one place will be different from another. The vinyasa that you take at one place will not be the same as a vinyasa class that you take at another one. Keep that in mind and be open to the experience that you will have. Each moment contains a lesson that we can take away from it.
BFREE Yoga is one option that provides some free yoga classes. BFREE is a yoga studio based in Austin, Texas, and offers a free 7-day trial of their online studio membership. Their online studio boasts well-rounded yoga classes on the go available via many different devices. In fact, as of mid-February 2022, they will temporarily become an online-only studio and eliminate in-person classes entirely, focusing on their online studio only.
They offer a wide variety of class types including Power Yoga, Mobility Flow, Vinyasa, Yin, and Gentle Yoga. You will receive full-length classes and express classes, or classes under 45 minutes. During your free trial week, you can sample each type that you’d like as much as you’d like. Take full advantage of unlimited free yoga by also practicing alongside any of their on-demand classes. Their classes have a variety of themes, from metaphorical to physical. For example, you can take a grounding vinyasa sequence, or a yin class themed around leaning into the pause. You can also find on-demand bundles for specific class types. Their week of unlimited free yoga classes that they offer all new students is a great way to spend time learning about yourself and your personal practice. Try out the different class options and see what you find out!
